Servers

A server is a dedicated computer or specialized hardware designed to run service software, including servers for various tasks. It’s chosen from a set of personal computers (or workstations) to execute specific service tasks without direct human involvement.

Routers

Routers operate at a higher level (third) of the OSI network model compared to switches and hubs, which operate at lower levels (second and first) of the OSI model, respectively.

The router uses a flexible software platform called Comware, which is a proprietary intellectual property platform with a distributed architecture. This platform offers comprehensive functionality by integrating various features such as IGP, BGP, MPLS, segment routing, quality of service, traffic engineering, multicast virtual private networks, VxLAN, and others.

Paired with an advanced fully distributed NP/multicore architecture system, routers provide flexibility and a level of reliability for operators that is often referred to as «five nines.»

Switchboards

Switchboards are employed to securely allocate electricity within commercial and industrial establishments. They are part of an electrical distribution system that divides a power feed into branch circuits while offering a protective circuit breaker or fuse for each circuit in a shared enclosure. Core switches for cloud data centers are specifically created to support cloud services within data centers. They come with the following attributes and capabilities:

  • Multi-layer and multi-level Clos+ switching design
  • Cutting-edge core switch that can accommodate 768 40G/100G connections operating at full capacity within a single framework.
  • Capability to utilize Intelligent Resilient Framework version 2 (IRF2) and Multi-Device Context (MDC) technologies for establishing virtual resource pools.
  • Distributed input buffers (up to 200ms) to manage sudden traffic surges in data centers. Separate management, detection, and maintenance processors for achieving failover in less than 50 milliseconds and enhanced management capabilities.
